Welcome to the 2017 Brookfield Township (Ohio) Zoning
"To Preserve and Protect Our Future"

* This website is presented to provide accurate and timely information regarding the 2017 Brookfield Township (Ohio) Zoning project. The information on this site, provides township residents the means to read the 2017 Brookfield Township Zoning Resolution document that supports the resolution that will appear on the November 7th, 2017, Trumbull County General Election Ballot and to view related questions and answers that members of the community have presented. The key element of Zoning, is that it puts land (i.e., property) to uses for which is best suited. * The 2017 Brookfield Township Zoning Resolution was compiled by a commission of township residents selected by the Brookfield Township Board of Trustees. They are an all-volunteer team from all walks of life, and representing the township community. The seven member commission is comprised of a Chairperson, a Vice-Chair, a Secretary, a Treasurer, a Member-At-Large, and two Alternate Members. A volunteer (gratis), independent consultant was used in the creation of the 2017 Zoning Resolution Product to insure all information provided, was accurate, timely, and in accordance with the Ohio Revised Code for Township Zoning and to coordinate the standards and requirements of the Trumbull County (Ohio) Planning Commission. Disclaimer: Please know that the Brookfield Township Zoning resolution and the Brookfield Township Property Code Enforcement program are NOT the same thing. The Property Code Enforcement resolution was passed by public vote in 2008. Zoning and Code Enforcement are mutually exclusive, but can and should support each other for the overall betterment of the township. Questions not identified in the Question and Answer segment here, can be emailed to the Zoning Commission Secretary, Mr. Gary Yonchak, at gsyonchak@gmail.com or to Mr. Todd Fencyk, the Zoning Commission Chair, at masury1@roadrunner.com Responses to questions will be provided relevant only to the 2017 Zoning Resolution.
